Μετά από μια σειρά εκδηλώσεων διαμαρτυρίας στις διάφορες πόλεις της Κύπρου η Κίνηση Πολιτών ALERT προγραμματίζει μια πάνελ συζήτηση με θέμα
«Κρίση- Κοινωνική Αντίσταση- Κρατική Καταστολή»
Η συζήτηση αυτή ελπίζουμε να είναι η πρώτη από μια σειρά συζητήσεων για θέματα που ενδιαφέρουν ολόκληρη την κυπριακή κοινωνία και αφορούν στο φαινόμενο της διαφθοράς των θεσμών που κανονικά θα έπρεπε να εξυπηρετούν και να προστατεύουν τους πολίτες της χώρας μας.
Η συζήτηση θα πραγματοποιηθεί την ερχόμενη Τετάρτη 20 Μαΐου 2009, στις 19:30, στο Πολυδύναμο Δημοτικό Κέντρο Λευκωσίας (Πύλη Αμμοχώστου).
Θέματα και ομιλητές θα είναι:
· «Οικονομική Κρίση, Κοινωνικά Κινήματα και Κρατική Καταστολή», Σταύρος Τομπάζος
· «Αθήνα Δεκέμβρης 2008», Αντρέας Παγιάτσος μέλος της Κεντρικής Γραμματείας του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ-Αθήνα
· «Μετανάστες και Καταστολή στην Κύπρο», εκπρόσωπος της Κίνησης Ισότητα Στήριξη Αντιρατσισμός (ΚΙΣΑ)
Συντονιστής ο δημοσιογράφος Αντρέας Παράσχος.
Επίσης δημοσιογραφική διάσκεψη γίνεται τη Δευτέρα 18 Μαΐου 2009, στις 12:00 στο Πολύκεντρο Νεολαίας (Τομπάζου 14) με αφορμή τη συζήτηση της 20ης Μαΐου.

After a series of demonstrations, the Citizens Initiative ALERT is organising a panel discussion on:
“Crisis- Social Resistance- State Oppression”
We hope that this discussion will be the first of a series of discussions on topics concerning the Cypriot society and deal with tthe corruption of the institutions that are supposed to serve and protect the citizens of our country.
The discussion will take place this Wednesday the 20th of May 2009, at 19:30 at the Nicosia Municipal Multipurpose Centre (Famagusta Gate).
Topics and speakers are:
· “Economical Crisis, Social Movements and State Depression” by Stavros Tombazos
· “Athens, December 2008″ by Andreas Payiatsos member of the National Secretariat of SYRIZA-Athens
· “Migrants and Depression in Cyprus” by a representative of Action for Equality, Support, Antiracism (KISA)
Andreas Parashos will be the coordinator.
On Monday the 18th of May 2009 a press conference regarding the discussion will take plce at the Multifunctional Youth Centre (Tompazi 14, Lykavitos, Nicosia), at 12:00.
